Senior IT Engineer

  • 20-30 hours per week (to be spread between 3-5 days per week).
  • Based out of our central-Bristol office – this role is predominantly office based however there is some flexibility on remote-working.
  • A basic salary of £33,000-£44,000 per annum (full time equivalent).
  • A 9% non-contributory pension and profit share scheme. The total package with pension £35,970 - £47,960, with the possibility of increasing to £37,500 - £50,000 with the profit share scheme (full time equivalent).

Who do we need?

We are looking for a forward-thinking Senior IT Engineer to join our small, but brilliant, IT function. Ideally you will be ambitious and looking to develop your skills into a more senior role over time. The role would be part-time, ideally, we are looking for the equivalent of around 20-30 hours per week, to be spread over 5 days (however we will consider as few as 3 days for the right applicant).

What will you be doing?

  • Triaging and resolving technical issues with our IT infrastructure.
  • Software system administration - Office 365/JIRA/1Password/Exchange and others.
  • Provisioning/deprovisioning and support of IT equipment.
  • Managing server infrastructure, locally in the ESXi environment and cloud based (predominately Azure).
  • Managing third-party IT support providers.
  • Running projects to improve our IT processes and infrastructure.

Ideal experience  

  • Worked in an ITIL (or similar) environment, ideally with training / certification to back it up.
  • Experience in setting up and running ticketing systems.
  • Have had responsibility for access control.
  • Experience managing cloud compute infrastructure (ideally Azure).
  • Experience in mobile device management.
